The Meyer Gallery a Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Landscape artist, Bill Inman, is known for his combination of French and Russian impressionism molded together with his own personal style of color and depth. These qualities pull the viewer into the landscapes.

One of Inman’s beliefs is that a painting should not have any photographic resemblance. Inman wants as little detail as possible to convey an image. He desires only enough detail to convey the original enthusiasm that the artist experienced with the painted subject. Inman stops painting detail when he believes that he has achieved the naturalism and emotive response he is seeking.

Inman studied under master painter Arlo Coles while attending college. From working with Coles, he found he loved vibrant colors and beautiful landscapes. He started by painting on location but then found he preferred the studio setting where he could concentrate on each element in his paintings.

Inman grew up with an artist for a father and therefore was exposed to the art world at a young age. His work is held in numerous galleries and has been recognized by collectors. Meyer Gallery is pleased to be the representative of Bill Inman’s fine works of art.
