In the morning Kauuelliua (koe-willie-wah) ,about 7 months old, looks on as her mother prepares a pot of maize meal over an open fire. The pot will be shared by her several brothers and sister. That same pot of maze will remain on the ground throughout the day so they all have something to eat when they get hungry. Every now and then a chicken or the family dog will try their luck in getting a bite.
