It is custom for Himba girls to wear their hair in two braids until they are married. Vajavehe (via-veh) age 11 spends much of the day gathering firewood and tending to their small herd of goats. She also has the responsibility of helping her mother with her 5 younger siblings. Her sweet and gentle nature makes her very good at caring for them.
